Railfan and Railroad is a monthly magazine devoted to trains and railroads. Its first issue was published in 1974 under the editorship of Jim Boyd, who would remain editor into the 1990s.
It is published by Carstens Publications of Newton, New Jersey, which also publishes Railroad Model Craftsman magazine.
